Yukon River

The central element of the boreal sub-arctic ecosystem characterizing much of Yukon and central Alaska, the river rises in the southern lakes of the Yukon and northern British Columbia. It arcs northwest to the Arctic Circle in Alaska, then southwest, draining into the Bering Sea, about 3,200 km from its origin.
