Britain and America: A Common Heritage
Britain and America share a common language and heritage, and for the period from 1607–1776 they shared a common history. It is a union kept alive in part by strong family ties—the legacy of four centuries of emigration. Family historians in both countries have a direct interest in strengthening those ties and finding out more about the emigrants.
