Hudson River

a river in eastern New York, that rises in the Adirondack Mountains and flows south for 350 miles (560 km) into the Atlantic Ocean at New York City; origin named after Henry Hudson, who in 1609 sailed 150 miles (240 km) up the river as far as Albany.
